Rockville Lake Park is an excellent destination for your family camping weekend getaway! The park features 164 total campsites plus two new camping cabins. You can choose from 12 AA sites, 12 lakefront sites, 31 modern sites, and 109 primitive sites. Reservations are available for all campsites and are recommended for holidays and the Covered Bridge Festival. The park annually opens for walk-in reservations only on March 1st. After March 1st the park will begin taking mail-in reservations. The park officially opens the last weekend of March and thereafter reservations are accepted via mail, walk-in, or telephone!
Unfortunately we are no longer allowed to let campers bring their own firewood. This is due to the spread of the Emerald Ash Borer which has made its presence in this part of Indiana. The vast majority of Indiana is now quarantined due to its spread.
The park has twelve AA sites which offer water, electric, and sewage hookup. These sites are located in the northwest section of our campground. These sites are wide and long enough to accomodate any camping trailor or rv. Two of these sites are pull-through which allow for easy setup! Plenty of open grass areas surround these sites allowing for campers to enjoy their favorite outdoor games! Reservations are available for these sites and they are very popular for holidays and the covered bridge festival.
The campground offers 31 water and electric sites located in the back of the campground. Sites 1-22 are located around our shower house. These are easily accessible for trailers and rv's! All sites are equipped with a picnic table and fire ring. In the middle of this section you will find a large mowed grass area perfect for yard games and a modern playground for the kids! Sites 7 & 8 have a trail leading down to a fishing pier and all of these sites are in close proximity to our nature trails. There is a convenience of a dumping station on the way out of this section for anyone who wishes to dump their holding tank prior to departure. Modern sites 38-44 are located across from our new shower house. Reservations are available for these sites and they are very popular for holidays and the covered bridge festival.
The park also offers 12 lakefront campsites. These sites are located near our lake shore on the south side of the campground. They are on pavement with a great view of the lake action. The beach is located by these site along with three shelters and two different restrooms. These sites are a great location for anyone looking to spend most of their time fishing from the bank or our fishing pier! It's also a great place to watch your kiddos swim!
Rockville Lake Park offers 109 primitive campsites. All of these sites are equipped with a picnic table and fire ring. We have a wide selection of sites, some offering shade in the morning, some with shade in the evenings, and some will be in the shade all day. Several of these sites are located in the midst of the trees for a more wilderness appeal. All of our primitive sites are no more than 200 feet from water or less. All are in close proximity to restrooms and they all do have open grass areas for games. Horseshoe pits frequent the primitive sections and horseshoes are available at the gatehouse.
Check out times for all campsites are Noon throughout the summer and at 10am during the Covered Bridge Festival!
